Antiparasitic efficacy of a Ricobendazole controlled release formulation against Ancylostoma caninum and Trichuris sp intended for oral administration in dogs

The aim of this work was to evaluate the clinical oral efficacy in dogs of two different single doses (20 mg/kg and 10 mg/kg) of a controlled release (CR) Ricobendazole (RBZ) based formulation formulated within a lipid matrix of CetylAlcohol and compare it with those of one single dose RBZ immediate release (IR) formulation (20 mg/kg) and one Albendazole (ABZ) IR formulation (25 mg/kg)(3 consecutive doses q/24 h). Thirty naturally parasitised dogs with Ancylostomacaninum and Trichuris sp were randomly allocated to five groups (n=6). A pair-sample t- Test (p
