An overview of the central segment of the Famatinian arc, Argentina: internal architecture and petrogenetic differentiation

Thecentral segment of the Famatinian arc, north-central Argentina, exposes a nearlycomplete crustal section from lower crustal cumulate sequence tosub-aqueous-aerial volcanic rocks of an Ordovician peri-Gondwanan destructivemargin. This natural example is unique, and allows for the study of the originand internal architecture of an arc crustal section.
