Original stratigraphic features,metamorphic evolution and structural overprinting indicate that two metamorphicstructural terranes, Complejo Las Lajas and Complejo Achiras, are exposed overthe southern sierra de Comechingones, Córdoba-San Luis, Argentina.Although in an-intra-continental setting, the southern sierra de Comechingonestectono-thermal evolution reflects a continental-style collision. Noneheless, availabledata precludes concluding about the span time when the collisional orogenesisoccurred.
