Resumen:
The selection of probable physical members in the vicinity of an open cluster is a necessary task prior to the study of many problems in Astrophysics. Relative proper motion of stars in the region of NGC 2516 are fitted to a model by a maximum likelihood procedure for determining the frequency distribution function parameters for field and cluster stars. The probability of membership was derived for individual stars.
