Resumen:
This paper presents an extension of the Kurganov and Tadmor central scheme [A. Kurganov and E.Tadmor, J. Comput. Phys., 160 (2000), pp. 241{282] to work with solvers based on conservative faceuxes, which are usual in the solution of incompressible ows by the Finite Volume method. The proposedscheme retains the desirable properties of simplicity, low numerical viscosity and multidimensionality, andit works on general non-staggered polyhedral meshes. It is applied within a mixture multiphase solver todiscretize the mass conservation equation of one of the phases. A series of cases are solved which show thatthe proposed extension is signicantly more robust and monotonicity-preserving than the straightforwardapplication of the Kurganov-Tadmor scheme.
