Resumen:
Current work aims to highlight the possibilities of a novel lagrangianformulation in dealing with the solution of the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations. Our main goal is to show how the proposed approach,which was originally designed to deal with heterogeneous fluids of free-surface flows, can be competitive with eulerian alternatives even in theirrange of optimal application. We this objective in mind, we select anumber of benchmark examples and prove that the proposed algorithm,provides results which compare favorably with reference solutions andcommercial codes both in terms of solution time and of accuracyachieved.
