Resumen:
This article seeks to define the profile of the socio-technical perspective of the so-called French pragmatic sociology epitomized by Bruno Latour. As a methodological strategy, its main arguments are articulated with American pragmatism. The article demonstrates the existence of a “late” affinity between the two theories, especially in relation to five aspects: a non-hierarchical ontology, an empiricist and anti-dogmatic epistemology, an ordinary and processual conception of practices and social knowledge, a perspecti-vism at the basis of scientific knowledge, and a conception of truth in relation to practical ends.
