Resumen:
Anisotropic conductive Styrene-Butadiene Rubber (SBR) films were obtained by incorporating conductive particles and small amounts of diethyleneglycol (DEG) to the elastomer matrix. The conductive particles were prepared by reducing Ag(NH3)2+ with glucose on magnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles (NPs), obtaining micrometric silver coated magnetite aggregates (Fe3O4@Ag) which present both magnetic and conductive properties. During the curing process of the films, an external magnetic field was applied, observing the formation of Fe3O4@Ag ?needles? each one working as an electrical conductive channel. The obtained films still have the elastic properties of the SBR matrix, even for 15% w/w on particles. Piezoresistivity and magnetoresistance properties were measured for the obtained films, showing that these materials have potential application to anisotropic stress and magnetic field sensors. Keywords: elastomers, magnetoresistance, piezoresistivity, nanoparticles, composites.
