SNCAD: Prospects for High Perfomance Computing in Argentina

In this talk I will briefly present the state of HPC in Argentina. I will review the state before the National System for High Performance Computing (SNCAD) was created, what is the actual status, and what are the infrastructure plans for the future. I will also discuss the structure of SNCAD, how it was built and implemented, and it advantages and disadvantages for the development of an integrated system of HPC centers.
