Resumen:
It has been recently shown that, through a flavour changing Z'tu vertex, Tevatron anomalous ttbar forward-backward asymmetry can be made compatible with the LHC SM-like ttbar charge asymmetry . In this model, the Z' particle is different to its self-conjugated partner not only to avoid constraints coming from same-sign tops production, but also to produce a cancellation in the charge asymmetry. To elude constraints coming from ttbar+jets, it is required that the Z' decays to invisible a fraction of the times, generating in these cases a monotop signature: top + missing energy. We design a search strategy for this signature at the LHC. We show that the still allowed phase space of the model should be easily discovered/excluded with the 2012 data. Not less important, we show as a byproduct that this kind of signature, namely monotops, is practically invisible to existing search strategies. We study how the designed strategy would improve considerably the sensitivity and reach of a single-top search strategy on a monotop signature.
