Resumen:
From CHAMP,
SAC-C, COSMIC data, electron density profiles suggesting the presence of
wavelike structures were qualitatively (visually) selected, disregarding
typical background morphologies, Sporadic E
layers, etc. We began with year 2011, above the highest Andes. The
relative variation of electron density content, integrated between 70 and 200
km height was chosen as a proxy of GW activity. Typical vertical prevailing
wavelengths at D and E regions were intended to be included between the base of
E region and above the peak of E region. Two main groups of RO were considered:
falling at ionospheric heights to East and West of Andes Mountains.
