Resumen:
A single discrete level interacting with a continuum is used to investigate length and velocity gaugeimplementations of a model accounting for the coupling between the discrete and the continuum model. The continuum-continuum coupling is not considered. We implement the model in a 1D delta function potential subject to a laser eld. Time dependent survival probabilities are compared with exact calculations. We observe that the velocity gauge model remains closer to the exact results even for strong laser fi eld amplitudes.
