Resumen:
A new concept is presented for solving process flowsheeting problems within the sequential modular approach. The solution methodology permits a reduction in the required computation time as a result of the optimal nesting of the iteration loops. The iteration levels that traditionally appear are due to the strict information flow patterns of the sequential modular approach. Differentiating between the material flow in the process and the logic flow in the resolution, the direction of the streams is determined to ease the resolution and to take advantage of available information. © 1988.
