Occurrence of organochlorine pesticides and chlorpyrifos in Bombus pauloensis from areas with different land uses in Buenos Aires, Argentina

Apidae bees are crucial component in ecosystem stability and in human crops production. In Argentina the bumblebee Bombus pauloensis has an extended distribution. In the last years a wide decline in bees population around the world has been recorded mainly due to pesticides, habitat loss and agricultural intensification (Brown, et al 2016). The objective of this ongoing study is to evaluate the impact of land use on the Organochlorine Pesticides (OCPs) and chlorpyrifos levels detected in B. pauloensis.
