This paper deals with the systematic study of three species of the genus Pediastrum Meyen, belonging to four samples from two Patagonian lakes (Argentina). Two new species related to P. kawraiskyi are proposed: P. musterii and P. patagonicum. Morphological variations of the different populations of the three species are studied in detail
