Magnetic topology analysis of an M6.7 flare

Resumen:
We study an M6.7 solar  are that occurred on October27, 2003 (12:27 UT). We use data in different wavelengths: magnetogramsfrom the Michelson Doppler Imager (SoHO/MDI), imagesfrom the Halpha Solar Telescope for Argentina (HASTA) and ExtremeUltraviolet Imaging Telescope (SoHO/EIT). We analyze the magneticfield evolution and compute the coronal field to identify the energy releasesite. From this study, we find evidence of a magnetic null pointin the corona. We relate the chromospheric and EUV brightenings tothe magnetic field topology in its neighborhood.
