Resumen:
Using data from the Soft X-ray Telescope (aboard the Japanese satellite Yohkoh) and ground based observatories, we have compared coronal loop structures ob- served in 14 active regions to modelled magnetic field lines. We have determined the relation between the average field strength over the flux tube volume and the length of the tube. This result, together with the ones found by other authors who determined relations between the plasma pressure or temperature and loop length, allow us to test the different theoretical models for coronal heating.
