Resumen:
Little is known about the regulation of digestive enzymes activities in euryhaline crabs by chemical messengers (i.e. biogenic amines). Aim: to study the in vitro effect of serotonin (5-HT) and histamine (Hist) on lipase and proteolytic activities in hepatopancreas of N. granulata. Adult male crabs were maintained for 30 days at 35 ? salinity. Hepatopancreas slices were incubated in the absence and in the presence of 5-HT or Hist 10-4M (100mg/2ml medium mM: 400 NaCl, 13 KCl, 10 MgCl2 8.8 H3BO3, pH 7.6, 30ºC). Enzymatic activities were determined after 0, 45, 60 and 90 min of incubation in homogenates of the tissue slices (Tris-HCl 0.1M pH 7.4 4mlxg-1).
