Resumen:
Aqueous slurries of iron based nanoparticles obtained by different synthesis pathways were prepared under the generic name nanoFe?. Raw materials included ferrous and ferric inorganic compounds, as well as N2H4, KOH and starch. The nanomaterials were characterized by UV-Vis, Mössbauer and Raman spectrophotometries, XRD and TEM . These analyses allowed the detection on the structure of different iron oxides, such as magnetite, goethite and ferrihydrite, depending on each synthesis pathway. Initial screening tests defined nanomagnetite (nM) as one of the most promissory reactants.
