Resumen:
In this work we report a technical method based on PIV, usually used in fluiddynamics, to measure velocity profiles of granular materials in silos and hoppers. The particlesinside the hopper were filmed by a digital video camera. Finally, we measure the velocityprofile of granular materials inside a quasi-two dimensional hopper and compare the data withsome existing models.
