Explores the influence of the addition of Pb on the performance of catalysts for catalytic reforming of gasoline of Pt-Re/ Al2O3. The catalysts were prepared by coimpregnación. They were characterized by a temperature programmed reduction, desorption of pyridine and temperature programmed test various reactions such as dehydrogenation of ciclohexan, hydrogenolisis of ciclopentan, and reforming of n-heptan. We found that Pb is in interaction with the active phase (Pt-Re). As a result the activity of metal diminishes the role, being more affected the reaction of hydrogenolisis that the reaction of dehydrogenation. Part of Pb is deposited on the support decreasing its acidity, mainly the sites of greatest strength acid. The reforming reaction of n-heptane shows that the Pb amending the stability and selectivity of the catalysts of Pt-Re. The reforming reaction of n-Pb Small aggregates increased stability and significantly improve selectivity isomers of C7 and aromatic while decreasing the formation of lower-value products such as methane and gases.
