Resumen:
The crystalline evolution of coke deposited on the catalyst during a commercial cycle of a naphtha reformer was studied. X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, the hydrogen-tocarbon ratio of the coke and the amount of coke on the catalyst were studied for samples with different times on-stream. Increasing time on-stream decreases the degree of graphitization or organization of the coke. This may be due to the interference between coke arrangements produced by their growth and the decrease in the pore radius produced by these arrangements, where the new coke is formed.
