Resumen:
An upgrade of the program TNT is presented. Theprogram implements new branch swappers, which aresignificantly faster than the ones in use before. Forexample, completing a round of TBR branch swappingin Källersjö et al's 2500-taxon matrix, takes about50 times shorter than in PAUP*. Aside from the netspeed of the swappers, new implementations of theratchet seem to be more efficient than the ones in usebefore. In addition, TNT can now analyze characterswith up to 32 states, step-matrices and character statetrees, implied weighting, and different types of con-straints.
