Resumen:
The book is not a survey of the 1960s in Argentina nor an attempt to "represent" exhaustively the artistic expressions that took place during that decade. It takes on, rather, a specific hypothesis, a tracking of certain artistic problems and certain artistic and critical figures who were fundamental to a specific reflection on the avant-garde. The selection of texts in the chapter on Jorge Romero Brest is intended to introduce various aspects of a complex and difficult critical discourse that had bearing on the art of Argentina and Latin America.
