Resumen:
The starting point of the research is a brief description of the world economic crisis and then analyzes how it overlaps with Latin America and the Caribbean region. This research addresses not only Chinas´s large purchases and financial power, but how this reinforces the new international division of labor in the Global South, becoming one of winners in the neoliberal globalization and as an emerging economic power. China has taken notice of Washington´s Consensus descredit all round the Global South  (ex. Africa and Latin America); and introduced the "Beijing Consensus" as a new alternative with no condicionalities to deal with.  We conclude that, although some nations of the Global South have reached a relative autonomy´s degree from the United States or the European Union, "balancing" on China during the world crisis; there are high costs for all south countries, if the "Beijing Consensus " crystallize” as ties were built in last years.
