Resumen:
This report begins with a short introduction regarding the problems that the ionospheric error causes to thesatellite navigation. Besides, the introduction offers a complementary vision in which the ionospheric perturbationson GNSS signals are not seeing as an error for navigation but as an information sourse regarding theionospheric conditions. After that, it presents a summary of the efforts developed by GESA devoted to studyof the South American ionosphere and to generate ionospheric corrections for Satellite Based AugmentationsSystem. Lastly, it presents the WARTK technique developed by gAGE/UPC, which allows the implementationof a precise GNSS service with user errors around 10 centimeters, thanks to a very precise real-timemodelling of the ionospheric error based on wide area networks of permanent GNSS receivers.
