Resumen:
The synthesis of 1,2,3-triazoles, based on the 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of organic azides and alkynes, catalyzed by unsupported copper nanoparticles is presented. Reactions were performed at 65ºC, in THF as solvent and in the presence of Et3N as base. The corresponding triazoles were obtained in good to excellent yields. The copper nanoparticles were in situ generated and exhibited superior catalytic activity when compared with other commercially available copper sources. A reaction mechanism has been postulated in which copper(I) acetylides appear as the true intermediate species.
