Resumen:
During the last decades, research in the use of biomaterials based on collagen for augment, repair or substitution of calcified tissues has increased (Landis et al, 2006). In order to develop a new scaffold and accomplish this objective we built a new kind of biomaterial, based on a natural selection of raw materials as gelatin, hydroxyapatite, and a crosslinker. This scaffold was characterized considering its mechanical properties porosity and water uptake capacity.
