The mass/luminosity relation in the nearby Universe and the galaxy bias

We show the preliminary results obtained in a statistical study aboutthe mass/luminosity relation in the nearby Universe and the galaxy biasfrom observational data sets. The study is based in the use ofobservational peculiar velocity data to obtain mass. We use galaxypeculiar velocities by Giovanelli and Haynes, the Updated ZwickyCalatlog (UZC) galaxy catalog and several UZC galaxy mock catalogs.Projected peculiar velocities have been used to measure the infallamplitude for a spherically symmetric field. Mass overdensities havebeen estimated from the non-linear infall model. The cosmologicalparameters for a Lambda CDM universe have been asumed. FULL TEXT INSPANISH
