Resumen:
Gamma ray bursts (GRBs) belong to the most energetic events in theUniverse. Recently, the extragalactic nature of these sources has beenconfirmed with the discovery of several host galaxies (HGs) and themeasurement of their redshifts. To explain the origin of GRBs severalmodels have been proposed, among which the coalescence of compactobjects and the hypernova (or collapsar) scenarios are the mostrepresentative, being the collapsar model one of the most acceptednowadays. A natural consequence of the collapsar model is that the GRBswould trace the star formation rate (SFR) of their HGs. In thiscontributed paper we present preliminary results of the development of aMontecarlo-based model for hypernova event formation which is coupled tochemical-cosmological simulations, with the aim at studying the GRBrelationship with the SFR cosmic history and the properties of their HGsin a hierarchical scenario.
