Resumen:
The first reverse phase-TLC bioautographic assay suitable for detection and identification of tyrosinase inhibitors in a complex matrix is described. The assay detected the reference inhibitor kojic acid at 0.03 % (w/w) in a complex mixture. The analysis of the essential oil of Cinnamomum cassia (Nees & T.Nees) J. Presl showed inhibition provoked by cinnamaldehyde, a reported tyrosinase inhibitor.
