Resumen:
Depression is a severe health problem in pharmacotherapy, characterized by severalsymptoms such as the existence of sad, emptyness, or irritable moods, together with somatic and cognitive changes that considerably affect the individual?s capacity.1 Here, a new chemical strategy for the development of novel compounds for depression treatment and other psychiatric disorders has been developed. We have succeeded in obtaining new compounds which are capable of displaying the combined benefits of sertraline and an essential element such as zinc or an antioxidant compound in order to get better antidepressant and negative side effects:
