Resumen:
A glycoprotein (I1) and glycosphingolipide (fraction S) were isolated from Cyttaria harioti Fischer, parasite of the tree Nothofagus, by phenol-water extraction. Carbohydrates account for 90% of I1 and were characterized as glucose, mannose, and galactose (55: 35 : 10). Sphinganine (C18-dihydrosphingosine) has been identified as constituent of the glycosphingolipids. Palmitic and stearic acids account for 70.5% of the fatty acids characterized in fraction S.
