Resumen:
The preparation of 6-O-(tert-butyldiphenylsilyl)-á-D-glucopyranose 1,2,4-orthoacetate from 1,2-O-(1-exo-methoxyethylidene)-á-D-glucopyranose by acid catalyzed intramolecular orthotransesterification is described. A mechanism for the reaction is proposed.
