Resumen:
The genus Hydrosmilodon is established for the species Thraulus primanus Eaton (recent placed in Traverella) from Central America and a new species from subtropical South America. The nymph of H. primanus is described for the first time, and the new species, H. saltensis, is described from northwestern Argentina based on male and female iamgos and nhymphs.
