Resumen:
The first record of Asthenopus curtus (Hagen) (Ephemeroptera: Polymitarcyidae) for Ecuador. A large number of specimens of A. curtus was taken (with nets or at ligth trap)at Limon Cocha lake, province of Napo, in the Amazonic forest. Measures of wing and body lenght have been taken. The are compared to those given by other authors. Nuptial flight was observed at the emergence area.
