Performance of INVAP´s STAX monitor at 99Mo production plant of Ezeiza Atomic Center in Argentina

INVAP´s STAX monitor was installed at the Medical Isotope Production Facility (MIPF) of Ezeiza Atomic Center (CAE - CNEA), placed in Ezeiza, Buenos Aires, Argentina. In the first stage, the monitor underwent aliveness tests and calibration with gas-like calibration sources. The electronic configuration was adjusted in order to optimize the equipment performance and enabling to measure high activity emissions of radio-xenons at low dilution regime. Currently, the monitor is operating continuously since more than six months under real environmental conditions, following up the production runs of the MIPF.
