Resumen:
A summary of the scientific research in Patagonia conducted by Dr. Horacio H. Camacho during 70 years is performed herein. Dr. H. Camacho, professor of the University of Buenos Aires, carried out pioneer studies dealing with Cenozoic molluscan faunas contained in the sedimentary rocks deposited by the sea during the last 65 millon years. He focused his studies on systematic paleontology and its application in solving paleogeographic and biostratigraphic issues
