The crystallization history of the major mineral phases in a biotite-hornblende granodiorite 8Chepes Range, Los Llanos-Ulapes batholith) and the approximate minimun temperature of crystallization have been inferred from texture relationships. The same data indicate that the size and number of crystals is mostly controlled by nucleation/growth (n/g) ratio rather than by the bulk chemistry of the magma.
