Resumen:
Low sulphidation epithermal auriferous occurrences in Gonzalito polymetallic District, Province of Río Negro, Republic of Argentina. A system of gold-bearing quartz veins and hydrothermal breccias is reported in the Gonzalito Polymetallic District for the first time. From the petrographic study of these mineralized structures, the predominance of typical primary textures such as banded crustiform-colloform, granular microcrystalline, crest and zonal can be observed, as well as secondary textures, such as recrystallization, replacement and cockade. Likewise, a mineral association formed by chalcedony, rhombic habit adularia, illite, sericite, calcite and pseudomorphic replacement of calcite by quartz has been identified. Whole-rock geochemical analyzes show anomalies in Au, Ag, As, Sb, Pb, Zn and Mn, as well as typical textures, mineral assemblage and occurrence, which allow to classify this mineral deposit as low sulphidation epithermal type.
