Resumen:
In the present text the way these six factors function in four Argentine institutions will be comparatively analyzed as part of a broad-based examination of institutional quality in different countries. The sample comprises a public institution with a long history of involvement in territorial integration (the postal service); a public institution responsible for linking Argentines domestically and with the world at large by means of highly specialized technology (civil aeronautics); an institution that is crucial to the functioning of the State because it manages tax revenue (the National Tax Board), and finally, a private institution with the potential to influence development (the Stock Exchange).
