Resumen:
The Universidad Nacional de Río Negro in General Roca includes a major in Geology. The teaching staff is made up mainly of researchers and research fellows attached to CONICET, with and average age of nearly 40 years old. This is a very active group covering different areas of the Earth Sciences. The average annual student enrollment is 60 and to date 20 students have been granted their Diplomatura en Geociencias, an intermediate degree granted once they have ended their second year. Seven BSc (Geology) degrees have been granted so far.
