Resumen:
The chemisorption of probe molecules is a well known method to characterize the surface of catalytic materials. Recently, the chemisorption of methanol was proved as a reliable method to determine the nature and number  of the surface active sites of oxide catalysts. In this context,  TPSR-MS and TPSR-IR experiments were performed  in order to investigate the surface intermediates of the chemisorption and surface reaction of methanol over over bulk gallium oxides (alpha, beta and gamma polymorphs).
