Resumen:
The consequences of varying the step particle distribution on a recently introduced  probabilistic transport model that captures the basic features of transport in plasmas [B.Ph. van Milligen  et.al., Phys. of Plasma v11 2272 (2004)] are studied. Different superdiffusive transport mechanisms generated by a family of distributions with algebraic decays are considered. It is observed that the possibility of changing the superdiffusive transport mechanism improves the flexibility of the model for describing different situations. The use of the model to describe L-H transitions by considering that the transport mechanism depends on the intensity of the fueling is analyzed.
