Resumen:
The photochemistry of aryl sulfonates and phosphates has a role in different respects including the application in eco-sustainable arylations, in the design of innovative photoacid generators and in biological applications. However, the fate of the photoreaction depends on several factors namely the nature of the sulfonate/phosphate group, the substituents present on the aromatic ring and the polarity of the medium. Accordingly, a detailed investigation of the factors affecting the photochemical behavior of such compounds is crucial for their possible applications. Aim of this work is the photophysical study of selected aryl sulfonates and phosphates by laser flash photolysis experiments, to have insights on their photoreactive pathways.
