Resumen:
Fe-PdNWs were synthesized in commercial anodic alumina porous templates usingpotentiostatic electrodeposition. The potential for the electrodeposition was−1.5 V vs. Ag/AgCl, and the deposition time was 30 min. The electrolyte usedwas a mixture of Pd(II) and Fe(III) solutions, complexed with ammonium citrateand ammonium hydroxide to keep the pH = 9.00. The Pd(II) and Fe(III) solutionswere mixed in different proportions before electrodeposition in order to obtainsamples of different compositions.TwoNWs arrays, of 10µm long and 200 nm diameter NWs were synthesized, ofcompositions Fe65Pd35 and Fe50Pd50.The NWs were characterized using scanning and transmission electron microscopy(SEM, TEM) and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS). The characterizationof the crystalline structure was performed by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) atroom temperature. In both samples, a cubic fcc disordered structure of Fe-Pd alloywas identified. The segregation of small amounts of Fe was also detected. Themagnetic properties of the NWs arrays were assessed by measuring the ZFC-FCcurves and hysteresis loops M(H) at different temperatures. It was possible todetermine that the easy magnetization axis is along the NWs axis, indicatingstrong shape anisotropy in this direction.
