Resumen:
The symmetry force contants for the dihalosilanes (SiH2X2) were calculated with an approximate (step coupling) method. The corresponding internal stretching force contants were compared with those obtained by others authors, and also used for an estimation of the Si-H bond length of diiodosilane.
