HACIA LOS PRIMEROS POBLADOS EN AZUL PAMPA, JUJUY

In the north region of Argentine north west, at Azul Pampa microrregion, the first occupations we studied with ceramics were found in caves and rock shelters since ca 3,000 B.P. showing in the studied cases (Inca Cueva and Tomayoc), reoccupation on a planned basis within a supposed annual sedentary circuit. Considering ceramics as basic indicators of change towards a productive subsistence strategy,  other evidences suggest they developed from the earlier hunter-gatherer local occupations. The first semi-permanent settlements, instead, at the same locality, are found ca 1,000 B.P.  In this paper we will treat on the possible links between them, focusing on landscapes, territories and interaction networks, considering especially the research in our case study. Our research included previous analysis of palaeoenvironment local studies and ethnoarchaeological personal local research in order to model on this spatial observation unit for the ca. 3,000 ? 1,000 B. P. temporal block selected. The main selected evidence lines are anthropological biological analysis, zooarchaeology, radiocarbon datings, rock art, and ceramics, among others. Trying to show a process towards settlements with higher permanency degree, and reuse of key places with basic resources, as well as interaction between the different archaeological sites investigated.
