Abstract In the north region of Argentine north west, at AzulPampa microrregion, the first occupations we studied with ceramics were foundin caves and rock shelters since ca 3,000B.P. showing in the studied cases (Inca Cueva and Tomayoc), reoccupation on aplanned basis within a supposed annual sedentary circuit. Considering ceramicsas basic indicators of change towards a productive subsistence strategy,  other evidences suggest they developed fromthe earlier hunter-gatherer local occupations. The first semi-permanentsettlements, instead, at the same locality, are found ca 1,000 B.P.  In this paperwe will treat on the possible links between them, focusing on landscapes,territories and interaction networks, considering especially the research in ourcase study. Our research included previous analysis of palaeoenvironment localstudies and ethnoarchaeological personal local research in order to model onthis spatial observation unit for the ca. 3,000 ? 1,000 B. P. temporal blockselected. The main selected evidence lines are anthropological biologicalanalysis, zooarchaeology, radiocarbon datings, rock art, and ceramics, amongothers. Trying to show a process towards settlements with higher permanencydegree, and reuse of key places with basic resources, as well as interactionbetween the different archaeological sites investigated.
