Resumen:
In this work the phase behavior of a magnetic monolayer with strong perpendicular anisotropy is studied in the presence of an external magnetic field H, applied perpendicularly. The Hamiltonian is modeled by the ferromagnetic Ising model with dipolar interactions, and H is varied over a wide range of values. The system behavior is investigated by monitoring the short-time evolution of the orientational order parameter and its moments [2], [3], when the system is started from ground state or the paramagnetic configurations. It is found for all H-values that continuous phase transitions occur between an ordered phase, characterized by alternate spin stripes of width h=1 lattice units running along one lattice axis, and an orientationally disordered phase consisting of elongated spin islands. The obtained critical temperatures are in agreement with those calculated in [1], and decrease with H so aphase diagram can be traced.  [1] H.
